When I was offered a new job at the end of January 2020, all of a sudden I felt like I had more freedom with my work. I was going to be earning money regardless of my creative output and that takes a lot of pressure off!
So I started drawing and painting and doodling, and then compiling those bits and pieces in this sketchbook. I did this with the intention of never showing it to anyone so there was no pressure for it to be good, or even for me to like what I was doing.
But once I had that freedom to create for the sake of being creative things started to click. There are plenty of pages in here I don't like and may never look at again. And that's ok! Because there are other pages that I do like. And others still that have led to new ideas.
So in short, creativity is freedom and freedom is creativity
